Abby Bucher is a longtime early childhood educator from Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been studying the Reggio Emilia approach for over 20 years and has worked in Reggio-inspired schools during her time in the classroom. Abby taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade as well as shared her support through the role of Pedagogista. In June, Abby started her own business, Woven Thread, which is a company that is focused on pausing and connecting. Through her consulting, through her before/after school club, Do Anything Club, and her monthly Park and Play group, she hopes to support educators, museums, children, and families with slowing down, connecting with people and nature, and developing a stronger understanding of how to lift all children up in our community.
